Nature at your doorstep
Private trails lead you through the forest to a charming stream and its waterfall. The property borders Crown land, an endless conifer forest perfect for birdwatching, mushroom foraging or simply total silence. The more adventurous can reach Lake Kaël and the Matawinie trail (7 km round trip) directly from the chalet via unmarked paths (GPS recommended). Official trails at Parc Nature Émélinois are also accessible within a 2-minute drive.

Bring your own firewood
Firewood is not included. The Bonichoix grocery store 5 minutes away carries some, or pick up bundles at hardware stores (Canac, Patrick Morin, Rona) on your way.
Pets welcome
All sizes welcome. A $50 cleaning fee applies. Keep them supervised and clean up after them.
Ideal for 4, max 6
Two mezzanine bedrooms plus additional sleeping space for extra guests. A $30/night fee applies from the 5th guest onward.
Self check-in from 3 PM
A secure lockbox gives you access on arrival. The code and detailed instructions are sent 24 hours before your stay.
Hot tub available year-round
The private hot tub runs 4 seasons, 24/7. It's in Eco mode on arrival, so adjust the temperature as soon as you get there.
Easy road access year-round
The chalet is directly on Route 131, which gets priority snow removal. A regular car is fine. The parking is also plowed.
Fresh drinkable well water
The water from our artesian well is perfectly fresh and safe to drink.
Early arrival or late checkout
Available on request, subject to availability. We confirm 24 hours in advance.
Snowshoes on site
4 pairs of various sizes available for guests, ready to go.
Bug spray recommended
In summer, bring insect repellent for hikes through the forest.
EV charging stations
Charging stations are available 5 minutes away, at 480 rue Desrosiers in Sainte-Émélie-de-l'Énergie, near the church.

Bonichoix is a 5-minute drive. For more selection, Saint-Jean-de-Matha is about 15 minutes away.
